Automation Workz is a live family video game, powered by a scavenger hunt app, where families solve challenging hands-on invention, electronics, mechanical, programming, 3D design, spatial reasoning, and mathematical, robotic and automotive missions in connection with manufacturing exhibitors at the North American International Auto Show. Families scurried from exhibit to exhibit, from activity to activity as shown in this video.

Currently, Employers are facing a TALENT SHORTAGE. They are importing employees from other countries or moving their facilities to other countries. Our end goal was to expose parents and their teens to 3 of the 4 career paths and activities to practice those career skills, in play, at home to ensure they are prepared for the automated workforce and to ensure they are employed.

TALENT SHORTAGE

Plato in 427 BC stated, A man must practice that thing from early childhood, in play ...

Research shows children learn by being curious about the activities engaged in by parents, teachers, and friends. In particular, they are interested in those activities that parents, teachers and friends enjoy freely (Deci and Ryan 1992).

When parents engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design and Mathematics with their students, 40% of those children matriculated in those subjects in college compared to the 8% who did not receive such encouragement. This data was reported in Longitudinal Study of American Youth where 4000 Generation Xers were followed since 1987.
